Our Organization Music Industry Media is known for its contribution to the growth of the business of music in Nigeria, Africa and beyond with our music business focus industry publication “The Music Industry Newsletter” and educative industry programs like the “Music Saturday”. Through our programs we’ve been able to help over 150 independent artists to establish their businesses, career, signing different music deals and more.

 

In keeping with our organization's mission statement- Focusing on the business side of music and music business matters , Music Industry Media is partnering with Music2Deal Nigeria – www.music2deal.com (A music business networking community and marketplace for the music industry) to produce music business sessions and meet up that is dedicated to emerging and established independent artists and music business entrepreneurs in creating the new music business model.

 

In this digital era, where there are enormous opportunities for independent artists and investors to succeed, many independent artists and start up labels in Nigeria are still not using the opportunities the new music industry model offers via the digital world to their advantage. We saw the need to educate the independent musicians to manage their own careers, and the need to think more like entrepreneurs and coordinate and manage a wide variety of activities via the digital world as a music business entrepreneur; Moving from being called an Unsigned artist to the status of an empowered Independent music entrepreneur.
