MEET IKHANE AKHIGBE

Ikhane Akhigbe is the C EO of AbOriginal Productions.Ikhane Akhigbe has been actively involved in the Nigerian entertainment industry for eight years as a producer and developer of creative and cultural arts content in the theatre, music, and television industries, as well as an artiste manager and legal consultant to aspiring and established artistes. As Chief Executive Officer of AbOriginal Productions, an entertainment content production company involved in theatre, music, television, and film, Ikhane has positioned the company as a full-fledged entertainment and creative arts production house that showcases Nigerian culture and diversity and takes Nigerian stories to a global stage. AbOriginal Theatre, the company’s theatre subsidiary, has become one of the country’s most recognisable theatre production houses, producing such critical and commercial successes as Oluronbi: The Musical(Nigeria’s first-ever indigenous Broadway-style musical), Fractures, and A Game Of Wits, while AbOriginal Music—the company’s music division—has, with signings such as Barzini, Boogey, Eclipse and Ese Peters, begun to expand the company’s reach into the fields of music with technically-adept artistes who creatively fuse different music genres. Prior to founding AbOriginal Productions, Mr. Akhigbe was Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of O.N.E Integrated Management Services Limited, an artiste management, development, and representation company, where he provided strategic direction, management, and coordination of company operations. Ikhane is a qualified lawyer with a master’s degree in International Maritime Law from the University of Southampton, UK, and bachelor’s degrees in Law and in Special Politics & International Relations, both from the University of Hull, UK.
